As the experts in all things pizza ovens, we are here to break it down and help you find the perfect pizza oven.

There are many ways to enjoy your wood fired oven. Whether it’s sweet or savoury, you can get creative in so many ways. Whatever you decide to cook, make sure you know what temperature you need first. Here are five suggestions and recommended temperatures for them.

Slow cooked meats

Slow cooking meats in the wood fired oven is a great way to get the unique smoky taste of the oven in your meat meals. You can cook the meats in a sauce, on their own or in a casserole. You could even try ribs in the oven, too! For best results, cook them at 90°C—120°C.

Desserts

Desserts are always a great way to maximise your oven. You can cook your main meal first and then once your oven has cooled down a little, put the dessert in to cook. Try cakes, muffins or cookies. Desserts are best cooked around 150°C—175°C.

Breads

Cooking breads in a wood fired oven is great because you can enjoy them throughout the week. You can get creative with what types of breads you make and can even spice it up with the flavourings. Adding ingredients such as garlic, rosemary, parmesan and/or olives are some great ways you can get creative. Breads are best cooked at 200°C—230°C.

Vegetables

You can cook vegetables as main dish or an accompaniment. You can get really creative and cook them individually or mixed in with other vegetables. Vegetables are best cooked between 320°C—350°C.

Pizza

Pizza is a big reason as to why many fall in love with wood fired ovens. Pizza needs to be cooked at a very high temperature in order to be crispy and light. Between 370°C—400°C is the ideal temperature to cook pizza.
