Garlic Prawns
Enjoy delicious garlic prawns in your pizza oven. So easy to cook and takes no time at all.
Ingredients
- 500g prawn meat (peeled & deveined)
- 1-2 tbsp butter
- 3–4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- Handful of fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt (to taste)
Method
- Heat your pizza oven to around 250–300°C.
- Use a terracotta or cast-iron dish that can handle high heat.
- Add the butter to the dish and place it in the oven for 1–2 minutes until melted.
- Carefully remove the dish and stir in the chopped garlic.
- Place it back in the oven for 30-60seconds to lightly sizzle the garlic (don’t burn it).
- Add the raw prawn meat to the butter and garlic.
- Season lightly with salt.
- Give them a quick stir so they’re coated evenly.
- Return the dish to the oven.
- Cook for 4–6 minutes, stirring once halfway through.
- The prawns are done when they turn pink, firm, and opaque.
- Remove the dish from the oven.
- Stir in the fresh chopped parsley.
- Taste and add a little more salt if needed.
- Serve immediately with bread
- Use oven gloves—the terracotta dish will stay extremely hot.
